We help individuals and companies with their litigation-related needs both in and out of court.

For more than 20 years we have been bringing zealous advocacy and sound legal advice to clients of every size, circumstance, and background.

We have represented everyone from Fortune 500 companies to high school students, corporate management to employees, injured plaintiffs to large manufacturers.

We have helped our clients with everything from defending modest disputes in state district court to obtaining the largest consolidated jury verdict in Massachusetts in 2019, and everything in between.

But not every dispute belongs in the courtroom.  As appropriate, we are always looking to find smart private solutions if possible.  And much of our work is focused on avoiding lawsuits in the first place.  Some of our biggest legal successes never see the light of day.

Whatever your situation, we would be pleased to learn more about it and discuss what we might be able to do for you.

What We Do

We represent individuals, entrepreneurs, and businesses in state and federal courts throughout Massachusetts and the country.

We also provide litigation services and dispute resolution advice and counsel outside of the formal courtroom setting, such as in arbitrations, mediations, administrative proceedings, and private consultations or negotiated agreements.

In every case, we seek to combine creative legal solutions and smart advice with a stubborn willingness to go the distance to trial if necessary.

Without question, some cases need to be tried and every case needs to be prepared to go to trial.  But litigation is rarely an end in itself, and in our experience what matters most to our clients is delivering meaningful results – however achieved.

Given the nature of our practice, we regularly represent both plaintiffs and defendants, and our clients often are both asserting and defending legal claims in the same action.

Why Us

Experienced and Proven Trial Lawyers

In our experience, our clients appreciate our being directly accountable, results-focused, and willing to share risk with them where the circumstances allow it.  We have made these things the hallmarks of our firm.

Each and every one of our clients deal with the same lawyer who is representing them in court.  We don’t force our clients to go through layers of assistants or associates to reach their attorney.

Although we are litigators, we understand our clients are not interested in litigation for its own sake.  They have a legal problem that needs fixing so they can get back to their lives and businesses.  Solving that problem in the best way possible is our singular focus.

Finally, we have built a reputation for being willing to share risk with our clients in creative ways.  Sometimes the only way we can represent a client is on a traditional hourly fee basis, and sometimes that is our client’s preference as well.  But in more cases than many firms would consider, our clients want and we are willing to work on a contingent or blended rate basis, a set fee for services, on a retainer basis, or on some other alternative fee basis.  We are always willing to discuss the possibilities.
